The   neon   transformer   used   conforms   to   the   highest European   specification   and   has   inbuilt   safety   features,   so   in   the   event of   a   problem   or   a   glass   tube   breakage   the   transformer   will   recognise this    as    an    open    circuit    fault    and    will    automatically    shut    off.    If    a problem    occurs,    turn    off    and    unplug    the    neon    art    and    consult    a qualified engineer. 4) The neon art is made for INDOOR USE ONLY not outdoor use. 5)   The   neon   tube   runs   warm   to   the   touch,   but   it   is   advised   like   most forms   of   light   bulb   that   it   should   not   be   touched   whilst   it   is   turned   on. When   choosing   a   mounting   location   this   should   be   considered,   keep out   of   reach   of   children.   The   neon   tube   itself   is   glass   and   very   fragile, so   mount   in   an   area   where   it   is   not   going   to   be   knocked   or   hit   in   any way. 6)   Cleaning   and   dusting   must   only   ever   be   done   whilst   the   neon   light is   turned   OFF   and   unplugged.   If   cleaning   is   necessary?   Use   a   soft artists   brush   to   carefully   dust   the   neon   tube   and   on   the   mounting material   only   ever   use   a   water   dampened   soft   tissue   then   carefully buff   dry   with   a   dry   soft   tissue.   NEVER   USE   any   cleaning   or   polishing products   on   the   mounting   case   or   back   panel   of   the   neon   art.   Heavy cleaning should always be done by a qualified engineer. 7)   Maintenance   and   repair   should   always   be   carried   out   by   a   qualified engineer. 8)   To   obtain   maximum   life   of   the   neon   light   and   the   transformer   it   is recommended   that   up   to   a   maximum   of   10   hours   a   day   'turned   on'   will give   you   optimum   life.   Pick   your   illuminated   hours   wisely   and   you   will get   many   many   years   of   illumination   from   your   neon   art.   Running   it   24 hours   a   day   is   not   advisable   and   will   diminish   the   life   expectancy   of your transformer and neon light dramatically. 9)   Neon   tubes   and   transformers   can   all   be   replaced   by   a   qualified engineer, so life expectancy of the display is termed as ‘endless’. 10)   Mounting   of   the   neon   art   is   suggested   to   be   in   an   area   that   has   no extremes   in   terms   of   heat,   cold   or   wet   or   vibration   ie:   do   not   mount near   radiators   or   hot   appliances   or   in   very   cold   or   damp   areas   or   near loud     speakers,     DO     NOT     MOUNT     IN     BATHROOMS.     Room temperature is the ideal environment and condition. 11)    All    neon    art    that    has    been    mounted    to    reclaimed    timber    is subjected   to   rigorous   wood   preservative   treatment   before   leaving   the studio. 12)   The   neon   art   carries   a   1   year   guarantee   (from   date   purchased) against   transformer   breakdown   and   gas   failure   inside   the   neon   tube. YOUR    GUARANTEE    DOES    NOT    COVER    NEON    GLASS    TUBE BREAKAGE. HANDMADE IN LONDON - ENGLAND www.courtyneonart.com
